Family & Festivities
Families – can’t live with them, can’t live without them!?
The season of goodwill isn’t guaranteed to bring happiness and joy for everyone.
Some are enduring a first, or another, Christmas without a loved one.
Others are spending Christmas with family they don’t see often.
Perhaps you’re facing a festive season which you know to be the last with the people involved.
Whatever the cause, don’t let a drunken diatribe or a misplaced comment wreck a relationship. It’s hard to say sorry and it’s hard to forgive, but all too often we hear from grieving relatives who wish they’d made peace.
As you approach the New Year, consider talking to loved ones about putting your/their affairs in order. If you don’t have a Will, take a look at our advice and costs here.
Perhaps it would be sensible to set up a Lasting Power of Attorney for Health & Welfare, or for Property & Financial affairs. You can read more about Lasting Powers of Attorney here.
If your household is dealing with a recent bereavement and you do have questions about probate, you’ll find some guidance here and we are happy to help you want to make an appointment to discuss your queries.
The best gift you can give or receive this Christmas might just be peace of mind!
Don’t be anxious about getting in touch with us to find out more about any of these things, or other services we offer.
We’re glad to help. We will make an appointment for a time and place convenient for you to talk through your options and next steps.
